Hope you've been well. I'm still working on my living room makeover, and it is coming along. Here's the progress so far:
- Created a mood board with all the elements I'd like to incorporate in this makeover (for more, go here)
- Bought a side table (click here for more details)
- Picked up the drapes (see below for more info)
- Stopped by Wisteria!!! and picked up a framed print I've been ogling for about hmm, a year now (more on that in another post)
- Bought my accent chair (see below for more info)
Accent Chair
I was inspired by a white chair Wisteria has in the style I want. Gorgeous, right?! You know there's a but, right? Of course, it was way out of my price range.| Wisteria Studded Lounge Armchair |
So I went searching for a low cost style substitute. My reliable Etsy came to the rescue. I think I did pretty well, for less than half the price. As you may have noticed, the style is french, and the color is gorgeous (some kind of gray-blue?) You can't really tell (apologies for the poor picture quality) but it's bigger than it looks. I think I did pretty well, for less than half the price. What do you think?

Apart from the bones of the chair, I really like the cotton ticking fabric. I'm practically going goo-gaga over stripes these days. Let's see, my rug will more than likely have stripes, my drapes do too, and so will a few of the accent pillows on my new settee / couch. Yes, coo-coo for stripes indeed :-)

Do you remember these drapes? Yep, they are from my Bedroom makeover. I'm so happy that I accomplished that makeover with your encouragement and the help of my heavenly Father. I loved these drapes, and they're a much better fit for my living room, so I was blessed to find Pottery Barn still carried them (whoo hoo!) and I purchased. I've yet to hang them though...
God has been good. While I now have even less time than I normally would to blog etc. my heart is full of joy for all the things I'm now dedicating my time to, like working with the children at my church, building closer friendships, and a few other ministries I hope to share with you one day. I also have a much better perspective on my life, and what God hopes to accomplish through me.
How is your time being spent these days?
Happy designing!
