I cannot live in NYC and not say something about the devastation Sandy caused. Being from the Caribbean (Jamaica) I know what damage storms and hurricanes can do. Hurricane Gilbert readily comes to mind...

I grew up seeing this plane stuck in the trees for years. 500,000 people were left homeless in Jamaica. This storm ravaged the Dominican Republic, Cayman Islands and Mexico as well. So I know what a Hurricane can do.
Well nothing prepared me for the utter damage created by Sandy in Cuba, Haiti, and the Northeast of the USA, particularly parts of NY and NJ.

I'm still praying for those affected by Sandy and am so happy many churches and communities are reaching out to help those in need.
