Happy New Year!
2013 officially kicked off a few days ago, but I'm just getting a chance to wish you all lots of love and blessings for the future. I had a great holiday, but those post holiday blues are creeping in, given that I must return to reality and work next week... I'll share my vacation highlights with you in another post.
My newest blessing to is my completed living room walls! The molding has been fully installed and is freshly painted, yay!!! It's actually been done for a while now, but I neglected to post the pics, so here they are, the before, during and after pics.
| Before - glass and no molding |
| Other side of the Living Room |
All things considering, I liked my living room enough before, but it was lacking character and the furnishings were not the size at all, and you know I love a challenge...
| During - mirror mirror no more, yay! Notice the first stage of molding installation is complete (brown) |
The mirror removal was quite easy, much more so than my bedroom, reducing the labor cost a little and giving me some wiggle room.
| During - 2nd stage of installation, priming the molding |
| During - close up shot of molding |
The first and second stages took about 1 day (8 hours), working quite slowly they were...
| After - isn't she lovely? You'll notice the color on these walls is now slightly darker, a happy paint mix up :-) |
| After |
| After - front portion of living room. | |
I'm loving it. What do you think?
Happy designing!
