So my post title is a play on words, but just to be clear, I am referring furniture drawers, not not 'tighty whities' :-)
One of my goals, as I'm sure you can tell from my last couple posts, is keeping organized. It really improves my state of mind, and helps me feel more in control. In a previous post I showed you a few options you can purchase to help tidy up your drawers and clothes (click here for more details). I practice what I preach, and while I haven't bought any of those organizers yet from Ikea, I have found other affordable ways to keep organized.
Reusing several old decorative containers and a plastic draw organizer, I was able to transform my vanity drawer:
It's so easy to find stuff now, and the top of the vanity table is clutter free :-)
Additionally, to encourage myself to keep my drawers clutter free, I decided to brighten them up by placing wrapping paper at the bottom. Here's how:
1. Select a roll of your favorite wrapping paper from your stash or purchase.
2. Empty your drawers (they should have already been de-cluttered if you followed guidance from my last post).
3. Measure twice, cut once!
4. Fit the cut paper on the inside base of the drawer. For the most part, it should fit, but you may have to do minor adjustments. I didn't even need tape, but you may want to use it.
5. Reuse materials in your house, like crystal, teacups, tin containers, etc. The drawer in the picture below is the smallest dresser drawer for odds and ends. I either inherited, received as gifts, or purchased for souvenirs those containers in the pic below.
And viola, you have brightened your drawers!
Happy designing!
Kyla

Thanks Steve.
