Progress is Sweet!

Hi Designers!

Seeing the progress on my bedroom walls is so rewarding! Just wanted to show you guys how things are coming along.

Day 1 - all furniture removed
Yep, that's my chair (sofa) on top of my bed. I covered the mattress and headboard with old sheets and drop cloths.

Day 1- wall paper removed
Day 2 - windows
Day 2 - wall skimmed & black spots gone!
I already purchased the paint - Light French Gray from Behr. Home Depot didn't have Benjamin Moore, which I wanted to try. I also had a narrow crown molding installed. It's not as dramatic as I would have liked, but it's what I could afford. Tomorrow the painting will begin, and we'll be that much closer to the big reveal!

I have to say, when I started this journey in January, 2012, I knew it wouldn't be quick, but I've had to draw on a lot more patience than I thought I had, and patience is a virtue I've been lacking. I've learned to focus on what's most important, and forget the frills. Hebrews 12: 1-2 reminds us of this:

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Happy designing!

Kyla
