Hey Designers!
It's been a whirlwind of a week. First, I completed my bedroom makeover on Sunday, yay! (you can view it here if you missed it). Then on Monday went off to Columbus, OH, and later the same day jumped on another flight to Chicago, IL. Finally, I got back to NYC last night. Whew! Whirlwind indeed, and I am still feeling the effects of all that flying. I'm proud of myself though, because I didn't skip a beat. Got home, swapped my business gear for exercise ones and headed and did about an hour of power walking in my neighborhood (no, I don't jog :-).
I've taken up a regular exercise routine again, mainly because it's such a good stress reliever, and there is only so much gardening one can do... If you're having trouble sticking with an exercise routine consider mixing things up. Instead of doing the same block all the time when walking, I take different routes, just so I can see what others are doing with their gardens and other outdoor designs. I also listen to uplifting music; Pandora is good because it keeps me guessing. Lastly, I try something different each time, just to mix things up. Be strategic people!
Want to know another reason I'm still in high spirits, despite the intense week? I'm learning to trust God more. There were few challenges I faced this week where I didn't consult Him for help and reassurance. Believe me, I had my fair share of challenges, and He helped tremendously. God says:
...before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. (Isaiah 65:24)
Back to interior design matters, I still haven't completely decided on which room I'll do next, but it will not be an expensive project, that's for sure! I'd like to something a little more hands on, so my living room perhaps? We'll see.
What do you do to keep up your exercise routine? Is your health / personal life a priority?
Happy designing!
Kyla
