Hey Designers!
Guess who's bedroom walls are finally done?! Uh huh, mine, lol. My contactor wrapped things up on Friday. I must say he did a pretty good job. On the plus side, I now have crown molding, a refresing paint color (Behr's 'Light French Gray', and best of all, NO MORE HIDEOUS WALLS, whoo hoo!
On the minus side, it took 3 days (I think it could have been only 2), my place was a mess, and I couldn't find some of my stuff. I spent 2 hours one day looking for hair products I'd ordered online, but didn't have the foresight to place in the bathroom. It also wasn't cheap. One friend actually told me he would have been more impressed had I done the whole thing myself. It took my contractor 3 days, that means it would have taken me 4 days! And a lot of pain (eye roll.I didn't sign up for that...
I learned a valuable lesson last week, don't bite off more than you can chew, and I learned it the easy way. There were a few times I was tempted to pull a DIY job on those walls, but I don' know the first think about skimming walls, and I would have been very unhappy with an even, bumpy finish.
So why am I not showing pics? There are still a few things left to do before the big reveal,
1. Hang / install my curtain rod
2. Frame and hang pics
3. Hang the mirror over my dresser
4. Repaint my second side table
Can't wait to show you guys the finished room, and am aiming for sometime later this week.
Happy designing!
Kyla
