Hey designers,

After posting last night it occurred to me that I wasn't exactly clear about what I meant by "Choose Life", and if anything, I hate being unclear. This is an addendum to my last post, and if you missed it, click here.
Deuteronomy 30 is from my perspective, all about making the right decisions for a happy life (who doesn't want that?) The problem with most of us, is that we think we know best; we all drank the kool aid 'you control your destiny' mantra. Truth is the more we learn, and the more wisdom we acquire, is the more we recognize we don't know very much -- and that's a little scary.
Let me simplify this a little, we don't have to know it all, or be in control. That's the beauty of it. Actually, the chapter states it clearly enough (I recommend reading the whole thing):
11 For this commandment which I command you this day is not too difficult for you, nor is it far off.
12 It is not [a secret laid up] in heaven, that you should say, Who shall go up for us to heaven and bring it to us, that we may hear and do it?
16 [If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God which] I command you today, to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His ordinances, then you shall live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land into which you go to possess.
19 I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live. (emphasis supplied)
What do you think? Is this too hard to do?
Happy living.
