More Adventure!! Camping & Zipline

Hey Designers,

I've had more fun over these last couple weeks than I have all summer (excluding my Coney Island escapade). It is not good for (wo)man to be alone (Gen 2:18), and that applies not just to romantic (life) partners but also to good friends. This weekend I camped with some old friends at Salt Rock Campground, and Ziplined at 'The Adventure Park at the Discovery Museum' both in CT, and met some new ones. It was such a blessing to get unplugged in nature, and dig deep into the word of God #bestadventure. Take a look and see from some pics my friends took (thank you, you know yourselves!):

3 1/2 hour drive from NYC, but worth it

Our cozy camp fire

Hands down my favorite, roasted corn and yams. I'm salivating just thinking...

Day 2 - Sabbath morning

Back to basics. Yes iyah!

Day 3 - packing up :-(

The zipline adventure begins

Don't let the picture fool you, the ground is more than 18 feet below!

Scary! Tightrope walking

This wasn't as bad

Zipping home!

Boat loads of fun. If nothing else, I've learned you have to be quite deliberate planning for fun, it can't all be spontaneous, i.e. it requires some design, forethought ;-) And it doesn't have to be pricey; Google / Amazon local deals offer great opportunities for affordable outings.

All I can say is God answers prayers... I've been praying quite a bit about my personal life, and this is one window God has definitely opened recently and kept on pouring...

And I say to you: Ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and you shall find: knock, and it shall be opened to you. Luke 11:9
Happy designing!
